Who We Are

Many people know Bookzone Limited (“Bookzone”) as one of the island’s leading suppliers of schoolbooks to bookstores and the Ministry of Education (MOE). That was true a few years ago. Today, Bookzone not only markets and distributes books but also a wide range of goods and services that keeps the nation’s education system operational.

What We Do

Bookzone Limited was established under the Companies Act on 21 Nov 2013. We operate an administrative office, warehouse, and distribution centre at secure facilities located in the corporate area of Kingston.

As a full-service education sector marketing and distribution company, we provide:

  • Wholesale textbooks and workbooks (in print and digital formats)
  • Short-term book warehousing (for other publishers)
  • Last-mile book distribution services (for other publishers)
  • Digital devices (tablets, laptops, and printers)
  • Device management software and services
  • Environmental health solutions

Our Leadership

We are led on a day-to-day basis by Nigel Walker, our Managing Director. Nigel has been involved in the local book industry for over twenty-five years. His expertise spans procurement and import logistics, warehousing, trade promotion, stakeholder engagement, book sales (wholesale and retail). He is currently the Vice President of the Book Industry Association of Jamaica (BIAJ), an umbrella organization to promote the interests of the local book trade and ensure its balanced and integrated development. Nigel also serves as the BIAJ’s liaison between the organization and Jamaica’s MOE.
